The History of YAMAGA BLANKS

Integrated production in their own factory

YAMAGA Blanks, established in 2008 as a brand of YAMAGA TSURIGU Co., Ltd., specializes in the manufacturing of high-quality saltwater lure rods. Their integrated production process takes place at their factory in Kumamoto, Japan, where they oversee every aspect of rod creation, from blank design and winding to painting, assembly, inspection, and shipping. This commitment to domestic production ensures that we maintain the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship, both now and into the future.

Technology accumulated by pursuing various targets from small to huge.

The launch of the BlueCurrent series of light game rods marked a significant advancement for YAMAGA Blanks, enhancing its presence in both domestic and international salt lure fishing markets. Designed primarily for targeting horse mackerel and rockfish, this innovative lineup complements YAMAGA's extensive offerings for various saltwater species, including sea bass, squid, and offshore targets such as amberjack, tuna, and GT. As a result, the brand is poised to gain increased recognition among anglers seeking high-performance equipment for diverse saltwater fishing applications.

Experience and technology gained from lure fishing to the world of fly fishing.

YAMAGA Blanks is set to leverage their extensive experience in salt lure fishing to enhance the fly fishing segment. Co-designed with one of Asia's best fly-casters and field-trialed in Europe, YAMAGA's newly launched fly rod series consists of LINN for mountain streams, ZINN for trout, and ENNE for saltwater applications. Each model embodies their commitment to "creating a truly reliable tool," ensuring that every angler has access to equipment that meets the highest possible standards of quality and performance.

Before submitting for service, please review ECHO's Warranty & Repair policy to ensure all coverage guidelines and expected fees are understood. These services are only available for the original owner for rods purchased through an authorised ECHO dealer.

ECHO Warranty & Repair Policy

Warranty & Repair Policy

All ECHO rods are covered by our policy over the natural life of the product for the original owner at the discretion of Rajeff Sports.  Rods that are determined to be damaged by abuse or neglect, either by physical or environmental factors (excessive wear and tear beyond normal use, saltwater corrosion, mold damage, damage from vehicles, etc) are not covered by our warranty policy.

If your rod breaks during normal fishing use, we will repair or replace your rod for a service fee (fee level differs by rod model) while the rod is a currently produced model and repairable.  If your rod is a discontinued model and/or is not repairable, you will be offered a current equivalent replacement model at 50% off the MSRP.

Most current production models will have replacement tips available for purchase.

Rajeff Sports / ECHO Fly Fishing reserves the right to update and change this policy at any time.  We understand that every situation is unique and strive to stand by our products and guarantee quality, performance and reliability.  Accidents happen, and we want you to have options to get back on the water.  Quality control and manufacturing inconsistencies also happen, though rarely, and we want to make sure we do everything in our power to get them corrected.

All warranty and service requests are processed at the discretion of our warranty department. Rods deemed not repairable will be discarded unless explicitly requested before service is performed. Any return shipping fees on canceled/declined service requests are the responsibility of the customer.

Are there things that are not covered?

Yes, there are situations when ECHO politely request you would support your local fly shop and purchase a new fly rod.

  • Damage and degredation from being left in the sun, saltwater or other elements.
  • Excessive abrasions from not being properly covered during travel.
  • Non-fishing related incidents.  ECHO design their rods to be used in fishing siatuations.  Damages incurred off the water should not be considered warranty situations.  If you only damaged the tip, those can be purchased online for most current models.
  • Any similar situations where excessive ongoing damage is accumulated, leading to a rod failure.
  • Rods used in outfitter, rental, lodge or other “fleet” type scenarios.
